Editorial policy
Grand County Journal aims to make county geography clear, careful and useful to general readers. We distinguish explanation from certainty and welcome specific corrections when a detail needs another look.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual claims against suitable reference material before publication and explain the limits of what a map, name or visible pattern can establish. We avoid presenting an interpretation as settled fact when the evidence permits more than one reading. If a topic depends on local rules or official records, readers should consult the relevant source rather than treat a general article as authoritative.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for reader relevance, not to satisfy a partner. Any paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material will be clearly labelled where it appears. Partnerships do not buy editorial conclusions, and we do not imply that a partner endorses independent coverage.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or an unclear statement, contact us through the Contact page with the article and passage in question and, if available, a reliable source. We review correction requests and make appropriate changes with care; we do not promise a particular outcome before checking the issue.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with AI. Where relevant, we identify them as illustrations and do not present them as documentary photographs or as proof of a geographic claim.
